	Danceworks Performing Companies
	As well as dance instruction, Danceworks Dance Studio offers several different opportunities for students who are so inclined to be a part of a competitive team. Membership on the teams is determined by auditons held in the spring of each year for the following year’s teams, and requires a contract signed both by the student and the student’s parents to make a commitment for the coming season. As well as having the opportunity to compete as a part of a group, members of our teams also sometimes have the opportunity to perform solos; or as a part of a duet / trio.
	Fox Troupe Dancers
	Fox Troupe is made up of dancers who are heavily commited to becoming the best that they can be in the field of dance. Many of Fox Troupe’s former members have gone on to pursue professional careers in the entertainment industry. This team typically competes 5 to 7 times per season, and is required to attend 3 or 4 conventions in North and South Carolina where they receive instruction from nationally recognized instructors. Competition teams perform in the areas of Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Open, and Acrobatics.

About Us	The Troupe is made up of exceptional dancers who perhaps don’t wish to make as significant a commitment of time or money. Often dancers wish to have more free time to pursue other activites such as sports, and can more readily do so as a part of The Troupe. The class requirements are slightly less intense, and the members of this company are required to attend fewer convention opportunities. The Troupe performs in the same areas of dance as Fox Troupe, but competes fewer times in a season.	Companies
